All players place their fists together in the circle while singing: Ping-pong, ping-pong, lapu-lapu sunshine, Candy-candy dog, banana-dog, ontong-balatong, ping-pong!"  While chanting, a designated picker points at fists in a sequence where each of the fists are touched. The pick is made at the end of the chant and the pickers lands on a fist. The player whose fist is chosen at the end of the chant places starts a thumb tower, with their thumb pointing up. The game continues, repeating the chant until all fists have been picked and a “tower” of hands with thumbs up is formed. When all fists are in the tower, everyone sings the chant again while rotating their hand tower in a circular, tornado-like motion. This adds a fun and lively element as the hands move in unison. At the end of the chant, all players unlink their thumbs and freeze in place. The first person to move or break their frozen stance loses, prompting laughter and playful ribbing from friends.
